Join UCL ISR as a research assistant working with Deputy Director Professor Michael Grubb.
Duties and Responsibilities
Set within UCL’s Faculty of The Built Environment, The Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources (BSEER) is comprised of four world-class Institutes, providing the expert knowledge collaborative research and teaching.
Professor Grubb works across a range of topics related to energy and climate change, recently extending also to broader international environmental issues. The role holder will provide a variety of research support tasks with Prof Michael Grubb, concerning mainly: (a) support for a second edition of the book Planetary Economics; (b) varied assistance on international research and engagement; and (c) broader support to academic profile and communications likely to include development of a personal website.
The post has funding at 0.5 FTE until 05/11/2020 in the first instance, further funding to support the post may be available.
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree (MSc or equivalent) in social sciences, economics or energy studies and successful completion of quantitative research and/or qualitative research projects or dissertation in a relevant field. Excellent writing and editing skills, good computing skills and the ability to research and extrapolate information using the internet and databases are essential.
