John Cridland Appointed Visiting Professor at UCL ISR

The UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources is pleased to announce that UCL has appointed Dr John Cridland CBE, outgoing Director-General of the CBI as a Visiting Professor.

Dr Cridland will be working with UCL ISR particularly on green business strategies and green innovation.

As Director-General of the CBI he was a key spokesman for the business community in the media, on public platforms and with the government. He is also a Board member of Business in the Community and a UK Commissioner for Employment and Skills. He was Vice Chair of the National Learning and Skills Council between 2007-2010.

Prof Paul Ekins, Director of UCL ISR, commented on the appointment: “During his very productive time at the CBI, John proved a persistent champion of effective policy on climate change, on green innovation, and on the green economy more broadly. We are really looking forward to working with John in order to tap his huge knowledge of and experience in these areas, which are sure to benefit both our students and our research.”
