Noboru Honjo

Noboru Honjo is a student in the 2023-24 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).

Noboru Honjo
With a solid background in the public sector, Noboru has been working for the Ministry of Finance since 2015, where he gained experience in tackling a wide array of issues facing regional and international economies. To advance his knowledge in place-based policy, Noboru completed a master’s degree at the University of Cambridge in 2022–2023 before joining IIPP.  Looking ahead, Noboru hopes to further equip himself with an innovation perspective on policymaking, particularly in terms of finding new ways to revitalise Japanese local economy and ensure its sustainable growth. He is therefore particularly keen to learn and stimulate discussion on public value creation and innovation dynamics.
