Ted Clayton

Ted Clayton is a student in the 2023-24 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).

Ted comes to the IIPP MPA from the Australian trade union movement. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (Degree with Honours) from the University of Melbourne in 2021, Ted worked as a field organiser at the Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU). In his capacity as an organiser, Ted was responsible for training delegates, recruitment, industrial strategy and resolving workplace disputes. While in Melbourne, Ted also campaigned for the Australian Labor Party and participated in education programs run by the Victorian Trades Hall Council. After completing the IIPP MPA, Ted hopes to find a policy and research role in the Australian or international labour movement.
