Sakamoto Ryosuke is a student in the 2023-24 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Ryosuke has worked in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for five years with a master’s degree in the chemical biology field. He spent his career mainly in science and technology policy, especially in material, nanotechnology, and startup fields. He also has experience as a venture capitalist in the private sector and invested in clean tech companies which convert waste resources to valuable materials. Ryosuke is interested in establishing an enabling system that leads innovation based on new technologies, which requires long-term financial support and multi-stakeholder participation.
