Oscar Gutierrez Fernandez is a student in the 2022-23 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Óscar studied Political Science at the University of Costa Rica and has experience developing Public Affairs strategies in private and public organizations. Most recently, he lead Sustainability efforts for Philip Morris International in Central America and the Caribbean. He is passionate about diversity, inclusion, and gender issues. He is a competent researcher, analyst and communicator who can tell engaging stories. Óscar deeply values human connection and community, and participates actively of the Global Shapers San Jose Hub and the Botín Foundation’s Latin American Newtork for Public Service.
