Luca Kühn von Burgsdorff is Policy Advisor to Professor Mariana Mazzucato at the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP).

Luca manages Professor Mazzucato’s strategic relationships with government partners and international organisations. His portfolio includes Professor Mazzucato’s and IIPP’s work on industrial policy with the Governments of Brazil and Colombia, and the European Commission, and the United Nations, among others. Luca also coordinates Professor Mazzucato’s responsibilities as Co-Chair of the Global Commission on the Economics of Water, as well as her membership of other multilateral councils and commissions.

Trained as an economist, Luca formerly worked for the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on public sector innovation and fiscal policy. Luca holds a Master of Public Administration from IIPP and a Bachelors degree from McGill University in Economics and History.
