Emma McGowan is a student in the 2021-22 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Emma is Head of Digital for Social Care at the London Borough of Hackney. Previously Emma has held similar senior digital positions at London Borough of Camden as well as leading complex transformation programmes across the public sector. Prior to joining the public sector directly Emma held senior positions at the social impact organisation, Social Finance and the leading digital design agency, FutureGov. Emma is obsessed with equity, new models of leadership and transforming the role of the public sector to better relate to the complexity of the needs society has today.
