Charles McIvor was a student in the 2019 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Charles joined the IIPP MPA after working at the Canadian Government on various science, technology and innovation files for five years. While on leave for the MPA, he also worked at Nesta on the future of work. His dissertation focussed on how a market-shaping approach works in practice, comparing Canada and the UK. Charles has returned to Canada and is hoping to apply what he learned at IIPP to his work at the Canadian Government.
