The BSP raise over £500 for Planning Aid

13 October 2014

Planning Aid Donation

Earlier this year eleven brave male members of staff from The BSP staff took part in a beard growing competition in aid of charity.  More than £500 was raised for Planning Aid, a charitable organisation which works to engage individuals and communities with the planning system in England.  In aid of this worthy cause the team, including The BSP's head of department Nick Gallent and Programme Directors Claudio De Magalhaes and Ben Clifford, grew their facial hair for a period of four weeks.  The competition (which earned the affectionate nickname Beardy Bartlett) culminated in a series of 'awards' for fullest beard, longest beard and most transformed face, to name a few. BSP staff and students donated generously in support of their superb efforts.  It'll be only a matter of time before the next fundraising effort so watch this space!
