At The Bartlett School of Planning, we offer a unique hands-on learning environment guided by urban planning experts and practitioners at the forefront of our field.

Our teaching is informed by our innovative research, aiming to find sustainable, responsible and inclusive solutions to the most pressing challenges in our field. Through our degree programmes and short courses students learn about the form, planning, design and management of cities, and how to shape their future. Our graduates are now utilising these skills in careers across the built environment, engaging with and shaping urban environments globally.

Our three undergraduate degrees give you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in understanding, managing and delivering urban change. You will gain a deep understanding of the complexities of contemporary urbanism and explore the challenges facing urban professionals today. We offer accredited routes to kickstart your career in the built environment.

Explore your specialist interests whilst gaining the skills and knowledge to further your career in planning and the built environment with one of our accredited MSc and MPlan taught degrees or research focussed MRes. We offer a range of master’s courses spanning spatial planning, transport, sustainability, infrastructure planning, regeneration, real estate, city planning and more.

Planning MPhil/PhD

We offer unique hands-on learning environment for MPhil/PhD study giving you the opportunity to delve into your own original research, whilst engaging with leading urban planning academics and practitioners through close supervision, creative project work and teaching innovation.

Short Courses

Joining one of our short courses gives you the opportunity to develop your professional skills and knowledge with a leading planning school. We offer online, self-paced short courses as well as a blended learning professional development opportunity.
