Department for Communities and Local Government meets UCL on Neighbourhood Planning

16 May 2014

Student mapping for Brent NF, from presentation by Thomas Zhong

James Dadge and Mick Duggan from the Department for Communities and Local Government team which runs Neighbourhood Planning addressed a meeting of Planning and Urban Studies students and staff at The Bartlett on 14 May 2014, with an update on Neighbourhood Planning progress.

UCL Urban Studies student Eleanor Lowenthal spoke about work being done to support Our Tottenham by various students, while her fellow Urban Studies student Thomas Zhong described work over the last two years supporting a Neighbourhood Forum in Brent.

There was a strong discussion which clearly demonstrated the valuable contribution that student groups can make to the work of neighbourhood groups and Forums. UCL in particular seems to be pioneering in this area.
