12 April 2016

President of the RTPI gives special lecture at UCL

Three recent MSc graduates from the Bartlett School of Planning have been awarded commendations for their applications for Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).

Laura Dimond (MSc Spatial Planning 2012-13), Dan Evans (MSc Spatial Planning 2011-12) and Emma Watts (MSc Spatial Planning 2010-11) were among five candidates selected by the RTPI based on the calibre of their submissions for the Assessment of Professional Competence in 2015. Over 400 candidates submit their Assessment of Professional Competence each year.

These commendations reflect the excellent quality of Laura, Dan and Emma's submissions and their significant progression in skills and ability over the course of the Assessment of Professional Competence.

Commenting on the news of their commendations, RTPI President Phil Williams said: "this accolade not only recognises the candidates' achievement, but gives them the chance to provide advice and serve as an inspiration to other Licentiates going through the APC."

"These commended candidates are on the pathway to becoming exceptional planners and making a significant contribution to the profession."
