Supported by the Green Deal, circularity policies and strategies are emerging across Europe. This online session offers insight into the implementation challenges when delivering circular strategies in cities and regions. In particular, it will outline the spatial implications, explore questions around governance and policy levers, and delve into how to bring about societal shifts and how to measure the impact of these changes. It will also involve discussions on the potential of circularity as a driver for sustainable transitions.

Professor Jo Williams joins Karel Van Den Berghe, Wendy Wuyts and Fedra Vanhuyse at this workshop to present the policy suggestions generated from the research conducted for the RSA PolicyExpo 2021, Going circular: unlocking the potential of regions and cities to drive the circular economy transition.
