As part of the Bartlett School of Planning's Green Impact programme, and in association with the UCL Green Economy Society and Fossil Free UCL, the Bartlett School of Planning is hosting a screening of the recent documentary "From the Ashes" directed by Michael Bonfiglio, which premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival and the National Geographic Channel.
It takes a compelling look at the lives and issues behind the "war on coal". Former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry commented that it is "heartbreaking and enlightening at the same time. A must-watch for everyone because we should all be in this together."
We are living in a truly contentious time right now- do we continue to invest in a 19th century form of energy production that has clear and present risks—or do we move forward and, if so, what are the options in our energy future?
The screening will take place on Wednesday 7th February at 5.30pm in room G01 in Central House. Limited seating capacity. Get your free ticket now before it's too late!
Drinks will be available, please bring your own cup if you can.
Open to UCL Staff and students only.
