Build_It_Up workshop: Institutional ruptures and repair

We’re running a series of Build_It_Up sessions and workshops aiming to capacity-build and skill-share with our Forum members, so we as a community can develop the tools we need to navigate our time at UCL. These peer hacking workshops will help us innovate practices, organisational systems, policies and cultures that help us sustain our good work while navigating hostile contexts and structures.  

In this workshop we will ask: How do we use moments of institutional rupture to build infrastructures that allow us to ensure basic safety, flourish, be resourced without re-institutionalising us and move us towards liberation in this university? 

We ask Forum members to come to the workshops with stories, case studies and advice on what worked. These workshops will be spaces for us to heal, repair and build towards better futures.  

This workshop will be facilitated by Ala’a Shehabi, Catalina Ortiz and Hanadi Samhan. 

The Bartlett Forum for Racialised Minorities is our staff and student forum for Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities across The Bartlett faculty.
