Hector Altamirano and other colleagues from the UCL Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering are organising the next International Conference on Moisture in Buildings (ICMB23). This two-day hybrid conference will take place at University College London (UCL) in London on the 3 and 4 July 2023. For those attending in-person, the conference will take place at UCL Here East. This fantastic location is based at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London. UCL Here East is a collaborative space shared by the Bartlett Faculties of the Built Environment and Engineering Science. UCL Here East is where our labs are, so we expect to run some extra activities during the conference, tours and moisture-related workshops.

We are delighted to confirm our first keynote speakers:

  • Dr Robyn Pender (previously Historic England, Building Conservation and Research Team)
  • Prof Juha Pekkanen (University of Helsinki, Department of Public Health)
  • Dr Alexandra Troi (EURAC Research, Institute for Renewable Energy)
  • Prof Juha Vinha (Tampere University, Department of Civil Engineering)
  • Prof Alexandra Troi (EURAC Research, Institute for Renewable Energy)
  • Lynne Sullivan (Sustainable By Design and UK Retrofitting HUB)
  • Dr Anne Mette Madsen (National Research Centre of the Working Environment in Denmark)
  • Tabitha Binding (Timber Development UK)

The ICMB23 will be running two parallel sessions each day with the following programme(s):

Monday, 3rd July
