Dr Gemma Moore nominated for teaching award
27 April 2018
These awards recognise and reward UCL colleagues who are making outstanding contributions to the learning experience and success of our students.
UCL IEDE would like to congratulate Dr Gemma Moore for her nomination to the 2018 Provost’s Education Award and wining one of the UCL Education Awards. Recipients of the Provost’s award will be announced at a ceremony on Monday 4 June.
Dr Gemma Moore comments on her nomination:
“It is great to be in the running for a Provost's Education Award - a great pat on the back! Thank you.
I have been responsible for designing and delivering a core module our new Master’s degree on ‘Health, Wellbeing and Sustainable Buildings’ called “Health and Wellbeing in Cities: Theory and Practice”, which was delivered for the first time this year.
I have a unique position here at UCL (working within IEDE and within the UCL Public Engagement Unit) so attempted to embed public engagement within the module, connecting the students’ research and learning to the outside world.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with the students and others collaborators (which there were many) on this module, we all learnt so much.
