In the second of our 2023 Integrated Building Design webinar series, Ankita Dwivedi from Firstplanit will lend her expertise on sustainable building materials.
When it comes to building, every product purchase has an impact, beit environmental, social, financial or related to health. These impacts have never been assessed and assimilated into a holistic impact landscape, set out in a transparent, rigorously researched, data-driven, personalised, user-friendly and free digital format. Firstplanit’s mission is to improve health, wellbeing, and sustainability in the construction sector by making complex building material and product decisions explicable for everyone - from governments, to business to those interested in DIY. Ankita will share why she has devoted many years to building Firstplanit, what it does, and how it is helping building teams make informed and considered choices in achieving their project goals.
This event is online and the Zoom link will be sent directly to those who register for a ticket.
About the Speaker
Ankita Dwivedi
Founder at Firstplanit
Ankita led Architecture and Design teams for top Fortune 100 firm projects across the globe for 20 years. Five years ago, she decided to leave business-as-usual behind. Whilst continuing her research at Scala Colab, she joined the Health Wellbeing and Sustainable Buildings MSc programme at UCL Bartlett. Afterwards, and after being selected for the UCL Launch programme (for start-ups) in 2019, she started Firstplanit as a digital tech company.
Throughout her career, Ankita has continuously researched, interrogated and innovated to understand the built environment's impact on the environment, businesses, communities and individuals. She believes there is a lot of knowledge, but it needs to be applied in a useful way, and shared with as many people as possible using clear, simple language. She notes:
'The construction industry has the power to transform lives, and I remain fond of it, so I devote myself to transforming this industry by breaking down its walls and helping it embrace change.'
