I am delighted that UCL has recognised the world-leading research, engagement in policy, and dedication to students of Ian, Maria and Nish. All three are making major contributions to understanding and then implementing solutions to some of the hardest problems in the energy transition. Ian’s work focuses on the interlinkages between energy use and health impacts, Maria’s work reimagines our transport systems as mobility services, and Nish’s work tackles the global problem of the environmental impacts of shipping."
