Communication for building urban partnerships

This research explored the role of interpretation, communication and negotiation in the context of development. Moving from a traditional focus on information for communication, this research highlighted the importance of trust between actors, examining formal and informal systems of communication in different political and institutional contexts. Cases looked into urban housing initiatives in Brazil, India, and Sri Lanka. Funded by DFID.
