About KNOW

‘Knowledge in Action for Urban Equality’ (KNOW), seeks to deliver transformative research and capacity-building to promote urban equality.

KNOW is guided by the aspiration to produce more equal cities through innovation in policy and planning, that works with a global consortium of researchers and partners across 13 institutions, in nine countries from Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Funded by ESRC under the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) and led by Professor Caren Levy Bartlett Development Planning Unit (DPU) UCL, KNOW will run for four years.

Our new platform:  urban-know.com

Urban-know is an open forum, a resource hub, and a place to stay informed and up to date with the latest from KNOW over the course of the programme.

Structured around KNOW’s six core ‘Work Packages’, the site provides a flexible space to build and share transformative research, develop online urban learning hubs, and build a robust library of research resources around urban equality. Over time, urban-know will grow to provide a centralised place to share and collaborate KNOW research, outputs, and learnings with you, our partners, and our wide reaching networks around the world.
