DPU has a new director
14 September 2012
After 7 years as DPU’s director, Caren Levy steps down leaving big boots to fill.
Caren Levy is an urban planner with 30 years experience of teaching, research, training and consultancy in mainstreaming social justice in urban development planning and governance in cities of the Global South, exploring innovatory approaches to planning methodology, planning education and capacity building. The last 7 years has seen the growth and strengthening of the DPU, including the integration of its global concerns and international work in different initiatives and programmes within UCL.
Taking over is Julio Davila, a civil engineer and urban planner. The Bartlett community wish Caren and Julio continued success in their new role.
