What is it like to be a student on a postgraduate degree at The Bartlett Development Planning Unit (DPU)?

In this event, which will take a virtual Zoom webinar format, you will gain a preview into a postgraduate lecture with Professor Michael Walls, who will share with you:

  • How you can put the theory of urban development into practice with the DPU’s annual overseas practice engagements,
  • Scholarships and funding opportunities to support your studies, including the DPU70 Scholarships, and
  • The importance of studying sustainable development in the Global South.

Professor Michael Walls Michael is Director of UCL's DPU, and Professor of Development Politics and Economy. He lectures in 'market-led approaches to development' (a module titled 'Society and Market: Private Agency for Development').

At the end of the taster lecture, we will have a Q&A (question and answer) session where you will have the opportunity to ask Michael your questions about the content of our postgraduate courses you'll be learning when you come to study at The Bartlett Development Planning Unit, how you can put the theory of urban development into practice with our annual overseas practice engagements, and about scholarships and funding opportunities to support your studies.
