This lecture explores the specificities of the current urban situation of Havana and some of the challenges it faces today.
Speaker Bio
Prof. Dr. Arch. Jorge Peña Diaz leads the Urban Research and Acon group at the Faculty of Architecture in Havana University of Technology (CUJAE). There he teaches and researches on urban issues related to urban sustainability, urban design and planning processes. He and his team work in close collaboration with local actors of the city's development. Prof. Peña and his team are co-investigators in KNOW, a DPU-led four-year programme on urban equality funded by GCRF.
