Explore the Performance of GB Cities with a New Interactive CASA Map
9 October 2014
CASA researcher Duncan Smith has launched a new interactive website visualising the social, economic and environmental performance of cities in Great Britain. The website, called LuminoCity3D, brings together a range of open data indicators that are mapped in a consistent and accessible style. The project is linked to CASA’s MECHANICITY grant, researching relationships between urban morphology and socioeconomic interactions.
You can visit LuminoCity3D.org website to explore for yourself, or read more details on this blog post. There has been some press coverage of the site in Londonist, Wired.co.uk, Independent Online and Guardian Cities.
Special thanks to CASA’s Steven Gray for helping with the site hosting.
