Flora Roumpani successfully defends her PhD thesis
Flora Roumpani became CASA's latest PhD student to successfully defend her thesis today. Entitled "The role of procedural cities in the future of planning: an integrated method", her thesis was supervised by Professor Andrew Hudson-Smith (second left) and Professor Sir Alan Wilson (second right). Flora is pictured here with examiners Professor Mark Tewdwr-Jones from Newcastle City Futures, School Of Architecture Planning And Landscape (far left) and Professor Alan Penn, Dean of The Bartlett, UCL Faculty Of The Built Environment (far right).
Flora was in CASA's first cohort of MRes students when our Advanced Spatial Analysis and Visualisation programme was launched in 2011 and she went straight on to PhD study afterwards. We will all miss Flora but wish her the best of luck as she embarks on a new chapter at the Alan Turing Institute.
Congratulations Flora - a real success story!
