Congratulations to Dr Kostas Cheliotis
25 October 2018
Congratulations to Kostas Cheliotis who is now Dr Kostas Cheliotis. He successfully defended his thesis - entitled –“Can real-time data feeds from the installation of networked infrastructure, connected to the Internet of Things, create new insights for urban systems, modelling, the public at large and ultimately urban policy?” and came out with minor changes. Huge thanks go to his external examiner – Dr Nick Malleson - and the internal – Dr Kerstin Sailer - for the three and a half hour long viva and all the hard work examining entails.
Also, thanks to Professor Mike Batty (second supervisor) and Professor Duncan Wilson who kindly funded the PhD while at Intel and also acted as the industrial supervisor.
So that’s Foteini Valeonti, Flora Roumpani, Panos Mavros and Kostas who have all successfully defended their PhD theses over the last few months at CASA – we are proud of them all.
Next up is Hadrien Salat and then Richard Milton in November…
Well done again Dr Kostas!
