CASA hosts a visit by delegates from Wuhan, Hubei Province, China

Professor Mike Batty and staff from CASA welcomed a delegation from Wuhan, Hubei Province, on a visit to the UK to learn more about smart city planning, construction and implementation.

Within China, Wuhan is a centre for GIS and Survey and Mapping.  It is an important area for research similar to that carried out here at CASA, with several CASA graduates having been trained there.

Mike Batty, Clementine Cottineau, Duncan Smith, Lyzette Zeno Cortes, Valerio Signorelli, Richard Milton and Chen Zhong gave a series of presentations highlighting current CASA projects, including Spatial Data; GIS; Urban Accessibility and Urban Modelling.
