About the talk
Since at least the turn of the century, London has suffered from a multi-faceted housing crisis. The supply of housing has lagged far behind population and economic growth, while a severe shortage of social housing has contributed to the highest rates of poverty, overcrowding and homelessness in the country. This talk will illustrate key aspects of London's housing crisis using a range of analysis and visualisation techniques. It will also highlight the gaps in our understanding of the housing market, and the exciting opportunities for filling those gaps using recently released datasets.
