The show, titled ‘A Love Letter of Architecture’, opened this weekend and was organised by the six participating Bartlett graduates, with support from RIBA.

The six graduates taking part are:

  • Billie Jordan
  • Edmund Tan
  • Hiu Chun Kam
  • Jess Yu
  • Xiaoliang Deng
  • Yongwoo Lee

Jess Yu also curated the show, which brings together the designers’ final Master’s projects. Through images and video, each designer has written their own ‘love letter’, using architectural language to tell a love story and inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the romantic spaces these works create, while also reflecting ideas about society, politics, science, human nature and death. The exhibition will also be featured on Shanghai TV.

Tutored by CJ Lim and Simon Dickens, the exhibiting designers all graduated Architecture March (ARB/RIBA Part 2) in the last two years, each achieving a Distinction, and have gone on to work at practices including Foster + Partners and MAKE Architects.

‘A Love Letter of Architecture’ runs until 21 February at Urbancross Gallery in Shanghai.
