The Bartlett voted No. 1 by the Architects' Journal
19 June 2019
The school has retained its reputation among the UK's top practices
The announcement marks the 16th year in a row that The Bartlett has won this prestigious position. The rankings were decided by polling the AJ100’s largest architectural practices, 26.5% of which chose The Bartlett School of Architecture as their favourite architecture school. This widened the gap with the University of Bath, who were once again in second place with 18%.
Earlier this year, The Bartlett was ranked the best place to study architecture in the QS World Rankings (overtaking MIT for the first time) and came fourth in the Guardian University League Table for Architecture Subjects.
“Seeing how well our students are received and supported by employers is immensely rewarding and motivating for the whole school, especially our teaching staff. We are also delighted that such recognition reflects our role as a research collaborator for diverse forms of practice and industry, and how vital this partnership is to the future of our discipline.
Professor Bob Sheil, Director, The Bartlett School of Architecture
The winners of all 2019 AJ100 awards, and the full rankings, will be announced at the AJ100 gala dinner at the Tower of London on 19 June.
