Hong Kong exhibition offers solutions to China's urbanism

1 August 2018

Urban Antidote Exhibition

A group of Bartlett graduates has designed an exhibition called Urban Antidote that will be held at the Hong Kong Art Centre from 2 to 20 August. The exhibition features a series of architectural designs that the graduates are presenting as solutions to China’s urban issues.

Justin Chow, Ka Chi Law, Kenji Tang, Enoch Liang and Gordon Yip first met while studying Architecture BSc. They refer to their designs as ‘recipes’, since they were inspired by oriental culinary styles that aimed to cure ‘diseased’ urban cities such as Hong Kong and others across China. The exhibition’s designs take a range of forms, including models, digital renderings and hand drawings that rethink contemporary issues such as modular housing.
