Research summary

The main aim of my research is to understand the molecular pathogenesis of lung infection, specifically pneumonia due to Streptococcus pneumoniae. This will lead to the introduction of improved methods of treating or preventing these common and often serious infections.

Teaching summary

Lead teacher for respiratory medicine undergraduate teaching at UCLH site. Lead for the respiratory module of the translational medicine MSc, and educational supervisor / programme lead for respiratory clinical and academic Spr programmes.
