Study at UCL Anthropology

The department offers anthropology degrees and short courses ranging from undergraduate, graduate taught and graduate research programmes to documentary courses and a study abroad term/year.

UCL Anthropology is one of the best departments in the world for the subject (4th place QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022) and its staff are engaged in pioneering research of modern anthropology. It is composed of five sub-sections including Evolutionary and Environmental Anthropology, Social Anthropology, Material Culture, Medical Anthropology and Public Anthropology offering a broad range of degrees to students from all over the world and with a variety of educational backgrounds. We are proud of our excellent staff-student ratio and ability to provide small-group teaching.
