About the role
The UCL Institute of the Americas is seeking to fill an Associate Lecturer (Teaching) position in Latin American and/or Caribbean. The position is fixed-term for 7 months (with a start date of 1st September 2023 or as soon as possible after) to cover a member of academic staff who holds a Leverhulme Research Fellowship.
The role holder will carry out teaching and administration within the Institute of the Americas in the area of Latin American and/or Caribbean history. We expect the postholder to convene the undergraduate team-taught module AMER0038: Encountering the Americas. They will also convene the undergraduate module AMER0067: The Caribbean in the Shadow of the North: Caribbean-US Relations in the Twentieth Century. They will contribute to other team-taught modules, and take on administrative responsibilities in the department.

About you
Applicants must have a PhD in History or related discipline. They should have proven experience of teaching and assessment at university level in Latin American History and/or Caribbean History, as well as the ability to convene the relevant modules.
