The Instutute offers study programmes at undergraduate, masters and doctoral level.
The Institute's ongoing histoircal research is principally focussed on nineteenth-, twentieth-, and twenty-first-century history while its social science research is centered on politics, human rights, globalisation, development policy, and environmental sociology. interdisciplinary perspectives on gender, 'race' and ethnicity inform our work.
The Institute runs a busy schedule of free-to-attend research events presented not only by members of the Institute but also by others from across UCL and beyond to promote research and debate on all aspects of the culture and society of the Americas.
