Energy Idea Challenge | Decarbonisation in London initiative

11 February 2021

Five of the top London-based universities participate and promote this virtual challenge: a great opportunity for passionate students and professionals to come together to exchange ideas about the energy industry.

Energy Idea Challenge

With decarbonisation strategies to remain under +1.5°C becoming increasingly demanding and just a decade left to meet the UN sustainable development goals, the next generation recognises the importance and urgency in achieving the sustainable transition. The 2021 London Energy Idea Challenge is an opportunity for students from selected London universities to apply their passion and intellect towards the profiling of an energy industry that is required of that outlook. The universities involved are London School of Economics, University College London, King's College London, Queen Mary University of London and Imperial College London.

By competing in teams of a number of your choice, you will come up with an decarbonisation strategy that can be implemented in London by 2050. Students will come together under the guidance and expertise of industry professionals to present a solution addressing a current challenge in the energy transition. Read more here.
