Dr William Booth joins UCL Americas

We are delighted to announce that Dr William Booth will be joining UCL Institute of the Americas as Lecturer (Teaching) in Latin American History for a fixed-term period of three years from September 2021 to cover the teaching of Professor Paulo Drinot, who will hold a Leverhulme Major Research Fellowship during this period.

Dr Booth is a historian of Western Hemisphere lefts in the modern period, with a particular focus on socialists and communists in post-revolutionary Mexico. He also works on Cold War historiography and on transnational intellectual networks. He did his PhD at the Institute for the Study of the Americas, University of London, and has held various teaching posts at Oxford, LSE, Johns Hopkins and UCL.
