UCL Americas welcomes new PhD student Remy Roberts

Remy's project will focus on post-memory and the legacy of traumatic historical events.

We would like to warmly welcome Remy Roberts who will soon be joining the UCL Americas research community. Remy's project draws on the concept of postmemory to consider how the legacies of traumatic historical events affect future political action. His work will focus on Guatemala and Argentina from the 1980s to the 2000s. Read more on this PhD project in the UCL Americas Research Students page.

Remy did his UG degree in History at UCL and a masters, also in History at UCL. He will be working under the supervision of Professors Paulo Drinot and Kevin Middlebrook. He was awarded the very prestigious Wolfson Scholarship. Congratulations and welcome to UCL Americas!
