Volunteer for the UCL Recent Graduates Network or a global alumni group
Calling all social butterflies, keen organisers and born networkers – we're recruiting!
For 2022, we’re on the hunt for UCL alumni who want to make their mark globally and support their peers through the next steps of their lives and careers. Volunteering can also help you to build your own skills, meet new people and connect internationally to our huge network of driven alumni.
We have volunteer roles for new Recent Graduate Network leads in Malaysia and Singapore that are open to you if you graduated between 2010 and 2020. We also have roles available for Global Group volunteers in France, Germany, Singapore and Malaysia, available to all alumni, regardless of graduation year.
Becoming a Recent Graduates Network lead
You’ll work together with your fellow Recent Graduate Network (RGN) leads to support recent graduates. At a glance, you’ll:
- organise at least two activities in your area which bring together alumni to expand their personal and professional networks.
- promote the RGN and grow an active recent graduate presence online by posting regularly on social media, including LinkedIn.
- work closely with the Alumni Relations team to link alumni with the UCL Connect professional development programme.
Your skills
To get the most out of this role, you’ll need:
- the confidence to work collaboratively with others, while being supported by the Alumni Relations team
- excellent organisational skills
- event management experience – desirable, but not essential
- communications experience – desirable, but not essential

- creating and delivering two activities over the year
- posting regularly on social media, including UCL Bentham Connect and LinkedIn.

Becoming a UCL Global Group volunteer
You’ll work together with your fellow volunteers to grow the alumni community in your region. At a glance, you’ll:
- organise at least two activities in your area which bring together alumni to build community.
- promote the group and grow an active presence online by posting regularly on social media, including UCL Bentham Connect and LinkedIn.
- serve as a direct link between the regional alumni group and the university.

To get the most out of this role, you’ll need:
- the confidence to work collaboratively with others, while being supported by the Alumni Relations team
- excellent organisational skills
- event management experience – desirable, but not essential
- communications experience – desirable, but not essential
