De-stigmatising Student Mental Illness
One Day Conference- Thursday 19th June 2014
The Student Psychological Services will be holding a one day conference entitled "De-Stigmatising Student Mental Illness" on Thursday the 19th of June 2014.
The main focus of the conference will be to address the following questions:
Why do so many students with mental health difficulties refuse to declare their mental health status when applying to university?
Why do some of them not seek help from college support services or do so only when they feel desperate?
Why do so many students with mental health difficulties bear their difficulties in silence?

Please note that the Student Psychological Services will be closed over the Christmas break from 5pm on Wednesday the 23rd of December 2015, and will re-open as usual from 10am on Monday the 4th of January 2016. Registrations forms received during this period will not be reviewed until the morning of Monday the 4th of January 2016.
