UCL Professional Services Awards 2017

The Professional Services Awards were first launched at the Professional Services Conference in 2014.

Teams of professional services staff based in divisions, departments, faculties or Vice-Provosts’ offices were eligible and the awards recognised the attitude and commitment that they bring to their work, and how they exemplify the professional services values.

Professional Services Awards 2017 winners announced

On February 15th, at the 2017 Professional Services Conference,  the winners of the Professional Services Awards 2017 were announced.


Awards were made for the following categories:

UCL Best Collaborative Project

This award will be made to two or more divisions / departments for a collaborative project or work stream undertaken by professional services staff which has operated in the last 12 months.

The panel are particularly interested in work that is initiated by professional services staff and is innovative in its collaboration, process or outcome.

UCL Service Excellence to Students

This award will be made to an individual or team (from professional services) who have provided excellent service to students.

Particular emphasis will be given to service provision which is new and/or innovative.

UCL Service Excellence to Staff

This award will be made to an individual or team (from professional services) who have provided excellent service to staff (any staff across UCL).

Particular emphasis will be given to service provision which is new and/or innovative.

UCL Community Impact Champion

This award will be made to an individual or team (from professional services) whose work has had a positive impact on a community; locally, nationally or internationally and advocated for, or enabled, positive change for a UCL stakeholder community.

This work can be within an individual or team’s core objectives or in an extracurricular / voluntary capacity.

UCL Brand Ambassador

This award will be made to an individual or team (from professional services) whose work successfully raises UCL’s profile locally, nationally or internationally. Their work furthers UCL reputation as London’s Global University.

This work can be within an individual or team’s core objectives or an extracurricular / voluntary capacity.
