New publication in Mol Biol Cell for the Stefan lab

Using quantitative electron microscopy of hepatocytes and epithelial spheroids, the Stefan lab, in collaboration with Jemima Burden, revealed an extensive network of intra-cellular contacts between the endoplasmic reticulum and plasma membrane (ER-PM contacts) at lateral PM domains that form inter-cellular junctions, indicative of conserved roles of ER-PM contacts in epithelial cell and tissue architecture.
