Migration
Co-Director: Claire Dwyer, Department of Geography
Migration is at the forefront of political and policy debates globally and presents significant environmental challenges in relation to urban, regional and global sustainability and in the context of dynamic and changing cities. Work in this area seeks to understand the processes underlying contemporary migration trends and how policies at different scales may ameliorate the challenges for migrants themselves and those faced in the contexts of arrival and settlement. Work in the priority area for the UCL Environment Institute will be undertaken in partmership with UCL's Migration Research Unit (MRU), based in the Department of Geography.
