After completing her undergraduate Psychology degree at Newcastle University in 2004, Caroline worked in a residential specialist provision for young people with Epilepsy. She then completed a postgraduate degree at UCL in 2006 that focussed on neuropsychology and language development. Following a year working in various educational settings Caroline returned to UCL to complete the Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology, graduating in 2010. She published her doctoral research exploring the impact of staff wellbeing on pupil wellbeing in 2013.

Caroline has worked for Hertfordshire County Council since 2010, taking on the Senior EP role from 2015. Her interests include professional supervision for staff in educational settings, supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs through systemic interventions, positive psychology approaches, evidence-based induction for new staff and developing CPD for the whole service.
