Studying at UCL during the 2022 Fall Semester was an exceptional experience. I thoroughly enjoyed reading subjects offered by the department, including Economics of Development and Behavioural Economics. Both of these classes enriched my academic journey, providing insights into global economic dynamics and human decision-making processes that I hadn’t learnt about previously.

Another highlight of my time at UCL was the ability to venture beyond the confines of my primary academic field. I explored psychology through two distinct courses, which not only expanded my intellectual horizons, but also underscored the university's commitment to interdisciplinary learning. I would highly recommend looking into the wide array of subjects offered at UCL; and don’t worry, the staff at the department are very helpful and will offer support in organising your timetable!

Staying at Ramsay Hall was undeniably one of the best parts of my exchange. The lovely people and vibrant culture created an environment conducive to forging lifelong friendships. This ability to have cross-cultural conversations was consistent throughout the entire University. I particularly enjoyed spending time with other affiliate students from around the world.

Getting involved in UCL's diverse array of clubs and societies added an extra layer to my exchange. I personally joined the ESG Society and the Effective Altruism community, but there a range of other societies that you can join - all of which are on offer at the introductory fair, so be sure to go along. Engaging in sports such as Golf, Ultimate Frisbee, and Chess was another highlight, as it allowed me to foster connections with a range of local students.

For those contemplating an exchange at UCL, I wholeheartedly recommend embracing interdisciplinary studies, actively involving yourself in extracurricular pursuits, and immersing yourself in the cultural tapestry of London.
