Daryll Forde Award

Founded in 1975 by the subscribers to a Memorial Fund in honour of the late Professor C. Daryll Forde, Professor of Anthropology, 1945-69

  1. The Daryll Forde award may be offered in each session.

  2. The Prize is awarded by the Council on the recommendation of the Faculty of Social & Historical Sciences.

  3. The Prize is awarded to the student who achieves the best final results in the BSc Honours Anthropology examinations provided the Department of Anthropology feels that the results are worthy of the award.

  4. The value of the award is about £100.

  5. No application is necessary.

  6. The qualifications of candidates are considered by the Head of the Department of Anthropology.

  7. The award is announced in July.

  8. Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
