Slade Prizes

Founded in 1870 under the will of Mr Felix Slade

1. Slade Prize may be awarded in each session.
   
   
2. The Prize is awarded by the Council on the recommendation of the Slade Professor of Fine Art.
   
   
3. The Prize are awarded for Fine Art.
   
   
4. The total value of the Prizes is not less than £285 a year. Where a Prize is of the value of £10.50 or less, it will take the form of books, instruments, or materials.
   
   
5. No application is necessary.
   
   
6. The works are judged by the Slade Professor of Fine Art.
   
   
7. Works for which a first prize has been awarded may be retained by the Slade School at the discretion of the Slade Professor of Fine Art.
   
   
8. Where a Prize is awarded in cash, payment is made shortly after the announcement of the award.
   
   
9. Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
