Slade Prizes
Founded in 1870 under the will of Mr Felix Slade
- Slade Prize may be awarded in each session.
- The Prize is awarded by the Council
on the recommendation of the Slade
Professor of Fine Art.
- The Prize are awarded for Fine Art.
- The total value of the Prizes is not less than £285 a year.
Where a Prize is
of the value of £10.50 or less, it will take the form of books,
instruments, or
materials.
- No application is necessary.
- The works are judged by the Slade
Professor of Fine Art.
- Works for which a first prize has been awarded may be
retained by the Slade
School at the discretion of the Slade Professor of Fine
Art.
- Where a Prize is awarded in cash, payment
is made shortly after the
announcement of the award.
- Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
