Platt Prizes
Founded in 1937 by the will of Mrs Mildred Barham Platt in memory of her husband, Professor J. A. Platt, Professor of Greek at the College, 1894-1925
- One or more Platt Prizes may be awarded in each session.
- The Prizes are awarded by the Council on the recommendation of
the Faculty
of Arts and Humanities.
- The Prizes are awarded to students in the Honours Class in
Greek.
- Each Prize takes the form of books to the value of £15.
- No application is necessary.
- The qualifications of candidates are considered by the Head of
the
Department of Greek.
- The award is announced in July.
- Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
